Well guys, welcome to another of our reviews – tonight we have a review of the penultimate installment to the critically-acclaimed, fantastic The Walking Dead game series, to which I have been emotionally attached to. My characters all have their unique personalities due to the choices I made in game, and I feel genuine worry when one of them is in trouble.

I must confess, I’m having a bit of a time reviewing Episode 4 of The Walking Dead. As anyone who has read my reviews of episodes one to three will know, I’ve given them nothing but praise, which they deserve, however, now… as the series is getting better and better, I have run out of words to use to describe how excellent these episodes are, so, I’ll just have to dig out the thesaurus before the season final in a few weeks.

The game is getting darker by the minute, the Earth becoming more threatening – new mysterious characters are being introduced and the great is getting short on supplies. They have nothing much they can do, other than risk their lives to gain supplies and try and find a way out of the area.

Anyone who’s being playing every episode, you will have experienced the emotional attachment to the characters which the gifted team at Telltale worked to engineer – an absolutely humongous achievement. In my last twelve years of gaming, I have NEVER experienced a game in which I became so genuinely worried and attached to the characters, almost as if they are real friends.

I don’t want to spoil anything in this absolutely brilliant new entry into the series which is a masterpiece – and can still get better! I am unsure how the geniuses at Telltale Games can pull this off, but they do. This game series is the best game I have played this year, in no other game have I got such enjoyment from the play experience, factoring in value for money and play length.

Again, the lovely comic book art-style is present and adds a nice touch to the game which continuous to impress critics and gamers across the world, with the game getting an 8.5/10 average or higher from the majority of major outlets.

Episode 4’s story shows the tension building between the group; a lot of confict is building and the group are slowly starting to fall apart and crack under the pressure. This episode is on par with the brilliance of the last three, so, please, continue playing the game, or, if you haven’t played the game yet, make sure you do not miss out on this masterpiece.
