A long requested feature of Call of Duty PS3 ports has finally come to fruition today as David Vonderhaar, Black Ops II director confirms that PS3 players will have the option to install textures to the hard drive, reducing the strain put on the Blu Ray drive.

This option will not increase the game’s performance, however, it will reduce the constant drive reading which occurs when playing Call of Duty on the PS3. This feature has been requested for a long time by PS3 users and Activision have finally listened to their requests.

More info on Black Ops II, including a zombies reveal is coming this week!
