An entirely new redesigned Playstation Store built from the ground up is launching in Europe on October 17th, while across the bond, US gamers will have access beginning October 23rd. It features a new side-scrolling tile system, separated Vita & PS3 content and fancy upgrades to product listings.

The new store features a side scrolling tiled interface, very like Microsoft’s new metro interface. New things such as a link to DLC from the game’s page, streamed HD screenshots & trailers of titles, a separated PS3 & PS Vita section of the store, better search features and much, much more is coming to the new system.

We hope the new store will also feature a better download list in which you can sort titles by category, console, date and type – with many filters also available. The current download list is just one long list of games with no sorting features, a mess to use if you have a lot of downloads.

We will bring you more on the new store once it launches next week!
