Sony have made the “difficult decision” to delay DriveClub, a game that was to be given away free on Playstation Plus, into 2014. Evolution Studios claim they just needed more time to bring the game up to scratch with the vision they wish for the title. Sony have revealed they will be giving Contrast free on Playstation Plus in lieu of the game, and that it will still be given free on Playstation Plus at the time of its launch.

SCE Worldwide Studios and the team at Evolution Studios have made the difficult decision to delay the release of DRIVECLUB and DRIVECLUB PlayStation Plus Edition until early 2014. DRIVECLUB will be a truly innovative, socially connected racing game, but the team requires more time in order to deliver on their vision — and I’m fully confident the game will surpass your expectations. says SCE Worldwide Studios President, Shuhei Yoshida, in a post on the official blog.

Contrast from Corruption Games is the new title on the launch lineup for Playstation Plus, replacing the DriveClub: Playstation Plus Edition originally supposed to be offered. DriveClub, as mentioned, will still be offered upon its launch next year. You take a look at Contrast in the video below:
